Content Guidelines

Liberato permits and encourages its users to post a broad range of content without censorship. We believe that there is no hard boundary between the artistic and the erotic, and that performers and creators should not be stifled in what they share by the conservative moral standards of banks, advertisers, or shareholders.

We strive to make our content guidelines the most permissive of any adult content platform, while also upholding the strongest best practice standards against image-based abuse. These guidelines were last updated on February 1, 2022.

Permitted: Nudity and sexual content

Content depicting nudity or sexual activity is permitted provided that every real person depicted in such content has provided Liberato with verification of their consent to have that content hosted by us, and that they are, and were when the content was produced, at least 18 years of age. Instructions on how to provide verification are provided on signup.

Permitted with warning: Taboo and graphic content

The following categories of content are also permitted, but must be tagged appropriately with a content warning that is visible to the user before the content is displayed.

  1. Acts of consensual or fictional non-consent such as rape play.
  2. Incest or pseudo-incest.
  3. Bodily fluids such as scat, watersports, and vomit.
  4. Race play.
  5. Fictional representations of characters who appear to be minors or animals in a sexual context. This includes but is not limited to ageplay, DD/lg, lolicon, shotacon, furry porn, and cub porn.
  6. Real, simulated, or fictional graphic violence. This includes but is not limited to bloodplay, needleplay, piercing, knife play, gun play, and simulated or fictional decapitation, amputation, snuff, and necrophilia.

Not permitted: Underage

Liberato does not permit content that depicts actual minors, or artistic representations of actual minors, in a sexual context. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Depictions of actual minors engaged in real or simulated sexually explicit conduct, including sexualized posing.
  2. Deepfakes that combine body parts of an actual minor with those of an adult to create a composite that appears to be engaged in sexually explicit conduct or posing.
  3. Real person fan fiction or fan art in which the person is depicted as a minor in a sexual context, unless that person is now an adult and has consented to being so depicted.

In our sole discretion, we may permit content that depicts the nudity of actual minors in a non-sexual context such as sex education, journalism, nudism, or fine art, but this must be discussed with us before such content is uploaded. In no circumstances may such content be uploaded to Adult Refuge by persons who are not in a direct customer relationship with us.

Not permitted: Non-consensual content

Liberato does not permit sexual content that depicts real non-consensual acts, or that is posted without the consent of all featured performers. This includes but is not limited to:

  1. Hidden camera and upskirt photography, unless simulated.
  2. Sex with a person who is drugged, asleep, unconscious, or dead.
  3. Bestiality.
  4. Footage of real sexual assault.
  5. Content posted without the consent of the copyright owner.

Not permitted: Real violence

Liberato does not permit content that depicts actual violence that is non-consensual or that results in serious bodily injury or death. This includes, but is not limited to depictions of:

  1. Violence committed against real people.
  2. Graphic depictions of self-harm or suicide.
  3. Accidental or intentional acts that result in death or serious injury.
  4. Animal cruelty such as crushing.
  5. Depictions of dismemberment, decapitation,  or burned people or animals.

These limitations do not apply to consensual acts of BDSM such as spanking, flogging, or cutting that do not result in serious bodily injury. However, such content may require a content warning as described in the section “Taboo and graphic content” above.

Not permitted: In-person sexual services

For now, Liberato cannot allow its platform to be used to advertise or facilitate the supply of commercial in-person sex acts. We hope to be able to lift this restriction in the future. This limitation does not affect the sale of virtual services such as cam shows, nor the sale of items such as panties or bodily products, both of which are allowed.
